The Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) is a celebration of Philippine Cinema where new quality genre films are screened for one week in all regular cinemas nationwide. No foreign film is screened during PPP for the whole country to celebrate its own local films.

Also as a mechanism of distribution support, PPP’s exclusive platform allows Filipino independent producers to benefit and earn from their films and have the comparative advantage against foreign films that usually dominate the other screening dates in the year.

Film festivals are important drivers of film cultures in the regions and in the country. They encourage diversity and for more voices, old and new, to be heard. For the past decade, there has been a surge of local festivals and activities offered to the public. This would lead to a more inclusive appreciation and access to local and alternative content.

The Festival Partnership Program (FPP) provides support and assistance to established local festivals which continue to enrich and diversify the Philippines’ film culture.
